Depends on what you are interested in and what your dog knowledge is.
The AKC Gazette is pretty good, especially if you breed or show and have a pretty good knowledge of dogs already.

Dog World is a step down from Gazette. A little less technical and less "show" articles.

Dog Fancy is pretty much for the basic dog owner. No knowledge is necessary and the articles are in plain language.

There are some other magazines too, but these are the most popular.

I love the New York Dog, but I heard that it's in trouble and switching to be called "The Dog" magazine or something.

Dog World, in my opinion. It used to be better years ago, but I still get it here and there.
