There are People on both sides that do it. I look at this way they have a right to believe what they believe. It comes down to respect for one another. We as Christian need to respect their belief or lack there of and the people who disagree with our belief should do the same. We need to talk respectfully about our different not beat each other up.

Most of these self-styled God haters grew up not being able to think for themselves, and just joined whatever fashionable segment of the crowd/herd that offered them "acceptance". If you read some of their responses as to why they don't believe in God, it sounds pretty much "cut and paste" like that of other God haters responses. But hey, it's a free country, right? Apparently they think it's only free for them as so many have posted answers in here about how they would love to see all belief in God outlawed right here in the good ol' US of A. Yet-and here's the funny part- they claim to be such tolerant and accepting, "open-minded" people. yea, right. Only when it comes to those who ascribe to their point of view. Open-mindedness is ok up to a point so long as your brain doesn't fall out in the process, assuming they have a brain in the first place.

I never knew so many people didn't believe in Jesus. Where I'm from, most families go to church and believe in the saving grace of Jesus. You're right in that there seems to be alot of anger. However, it was that way when Jesus walked the earth as a man.

I think it's 50/50 as far as anger goes, but I know what you mean, sometimes non believes appear angry.
They sometimes think being told that they are going to hell, literally, is quite a violent thing to be threatened with.

sometimes, but it's because of morons like this:
Do you think that people who have another religion than yours are stupid?
They devote their life to something wrong, so they must be stupid, aren't they? And they will all go to Hell anyway.
(a recent question posted in here)
edit: oh, and because of answers like this to your question: I'm not angry... I'm confused as to why there are so many stupid people.

Yes, and sometimes they have the right to. There is a lot of misinformation about religion, there is a lot of false religions and some just don't make sense at all. Who can blame them?

Actually I have noticed that, I'm agnostic myself, but I don't feel the need to pounce on people about religion. I don't understand that type of person.

I agree! Non believers are so quick to place answers to questions about which they know nothing. We are not surprised as the scriptures state that there will be those who cannot receive the Lord.

Many non believers are just ex-believers with painful experiences that led them to become angry with God. They try to convince themselves and others that their rejection of him is based in logic and reason but more often than not it's simple emotional hurt. Indeed, their god Charles Darwin himself was the same - only turning his back on God when he saw his niece die so young.

Their just venting out their frustrations. Remember athiests are in the minority and it can be irritating to have people around them all the time who want them to believe in something that they believe is foolish.
