My head is not with it today, I think i just gave my dog too many pills! I gave her nightly dose twice! The pills are Joint Care by Hartz. I gave her 4 in the past 4 hours. My dog is about 75lbs. The active ingredients are Glucosamine Hydrochloride(shellfish source) 500mg and Manganese 8.6mg and Vitamin E 5IU.

She has an appointment for the VET already scheduled for her torn ACL tomorrow at 6pm.

To Devora. You answer would be quite logical if it wasn't 4am in the morning. Thank you :-)

Your dog will be fine. I calculated with what numbers you gave me, and she's OK. Because she's 75lbs, it won't affect her as much as it would to a 10lber. Usually medications have ranges so that if you accidentally overdosed, it wouldn't do any harm. As long as you don't give her 20 pills within 4 hours, she's good to go.

The worst it will do is cause diarrhea. It's just a Nutriceutical, not a drug.Don't worry, the dog will be fine, and if you really want to give your dog something that will work, ask you vet about Cosequin;it is the only glucosamine/chondroitin supplement proven to work. You cab use the human equivalent, made by the same company. It's called Cosamin DS and it's cheaper than the canine formula.Salmon oil is good, too.

I overdosed my dog on Tramadol once.. Gave 2 pills instead of one.
I freaked, called the vet and he told me she would be fine. She was fine.

Give your vet a quick call and tell them what you have done. I am sure it will be ok as it isnt like she ate a full bottle.
