Why do Christians keep pushing religion on me? I am perfectly happy yet everyone keeps preaching god to me. I understand the theory of god, i just don't believe it. I don't try to convert you to atheism why do you feel the need to try to convert me to Christianity? Spreading the word of god to someone who is not going to believe it no matter how hard you try is a waste of time.

So the ultimate question of my little rant: Will you Christians stop trying to preach to me when I have already made my decision and don't care what you think?

Okay not ALL Christians do this, just about 99% of the ones I know.

I am not talking about here and I am not referring to all Christians. I am referring to the ones who DO try to push their religion on people who don't want it. I am not Christian bashing. Just bashing the ones that pester me about it.

I believe in evolution and science, I am not sure about the big bang but I would believe that over creationism any day.

I am not saying I specifically don't want to learn about the religion, I think it is interesting seeing other people's views, however learning about something having someone telling me to believe it or I will burn in hell is a different story.

two answers that made me laugh. Telling me that evolution can't be because man came up with it is ridiculous. Then I could easily say that the idea of god can't be right because man came up with that idea. However evolution has been pretty much proven my science. I love how people continue to ignore scientific facts. Another the site I was referred to (www.atheisttest.com) was aslo bull ****. Because a banana fits in your hand does not mean god came up with that idea. Ever thought that the banana EVOLVED to that shape? Oh and once again...not trying to convert someone...Thanks.

haha yes of course you you know god exists like how many scientists KNOW evolution exists. There is much less proof in god than there is in evolution. But unlike many people I am not telling you to believe what I believe. I am merely making a point that I have reason for what I believe, or more for what I don't believe and I am tired of my religious "friends" telling me to just believe in god because he is right. What the hell I am sorry but I am tired of being told I am living a life of sin when I don't care if people think it is a sin that I am atheist!

Yes I hear your cry. And thats the first time I ever heard "Theory of God". anyways some people don't understand that you have no faith. You don't believe what you cannot see right? And thats perfectly fine not everybody can truly understand what it means to believe in something greater than themselves. So I have a question: What do you believe? evolution? The big bang theory? Everyone believes in something if not God then something so understand that christians only try to make the blind see and the lost be found but converting somebody to a certain religion is never the right way to go about it. People have to find that SOMETHING for themselves and I hope you find whatever it is you are looking for

Because we care. Otherwise if you insist on not wanting to hear of it, then don't ask. I suggest you look further into why so many, including Einstein and many famous scientists and physicists, believe. You won't be trapped. You will end up better informed, be it believer or not. Remember, it was so hard for most people to believe that the earth was round. Mostly because they couldn't imagine it. Today so much has surfaced with technology, to the point that we feel we know it all. Just like the flat earth people.

Religion is so misunderstood today. The truth is so far from our imagination that "we don't see therefore we don't believe". But learn-ed people have learn ed to project their thinking "outside the box". Unless we are conceited and cocky, it makes sense that there are things out there that we cannot understand or even imagine. We are at the supposed top of the animal kingdom, earthly life, but we are definitely not at the top of universal life. At least I sincerely hope not.

Tell that to the Christians thats been trying to convert you. Tell them that they are not respecting your decisions. However, it we Christians have been thought to preach to others the word of our lord, so I guess those guys are just following it. Thank yourself this isn't the 11th century, where you'll get burned by the inquisition.
If you notice however, it seems the large religions try their best to spread their faith, Christians, Muslims, etc. I agree that in you it may be a waste of time, but there are many instances where they manage to convert people into their brothers and sisters.

If you want to keep being an atheist, I suggest to tell those "specific" Christians to leave you alone; your mind is made up, and they are intervening in your sense of freedom. Hey its a free country.

- a respectful Christian

Maybe it's called CARE. Someone cares enough about you, your eternal well being, that they try to reach you with Gods word. Not everyone has the fine tuned skills to convert or talk to a person about God in the exact right manner, but they evidently care enough or they wouldn't try. It's for you and for your sake that they are doing this. Even if the person isn't using all the right words or the best diplomacy, please don't get mad. They are only trying to help.

You should never judge a religion by a few people who just go about abusing other faiths. Ignore them. Live your life.

I regret that some have continued trying to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ to you after you have expressed to them that you have made your decision not to listen. However, you may need to begin every conversation with... "I would rather not hear anything about your faith in Jesus Christ" ...to help us. It's just hard to keep truly good news to yourself! Indeed, we are commanded to share our faith, but it's totally inappropriate to force the Gospel of Jesus Christ on others. Next, I would like to invite you to view [www.WayOfTheMaster.com], which demonstrates how sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ should be done. Please share this website with the ones who are a bit pushy. I guarantee... they will come back to thank you! Lastly, I would like to encourage you to experience the Atheist Test at [www.AtheistTest.com]. I look forward to your reply, if you choose to do so! [(.o.)()(\o/)(XP)]

aww you make them and us feel like...
God Pushers

,,,pssst psssssssst over here.. How about a little spiritual awareness..Hum not for you.. How about everlasting joy...no Not that one..Hey here is the big one..It is going to cost you...yea It is...profess Your belief in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and it will get you the highest you ever felt...and When you die..You will forever live in the heavens with no pain or sorrow... Come on wont you try it.. Oh no.. I see its snake eyes for you or how about a little red devil..
~giggles~ okay sorry I am tried.. But that was funny to me.

I am sorry if you have been getting God pushed on you by those who care about you. Just realize they love you and want to see you in the place they are and are going to be. No one left behind sort of thing. Just love them and let them love you. That is the most important thing sweet.
Responce 1:
You seem like you are looking for new answers to life.. That is really cool.. I have made a study of many things. From the Big bang to well almost anything I could get my hands on.. Take the time to seek, study, learn, and discover as much as you can. Life is to short to live closed minded (not saying you are closed minded by the way.. just all people do this sometimes)..
Responce 2:
Egad..Really makes you want to jump right in. With eternal damnation. To rebel just for the sake to tick them off more. I hear you. My dad did that to my brother after he became a new Christian..It was years of prayers before my dad came to know the Lord. But when he found his way.. I wondered what the heck I did..rofl..He was a nightmare of a baby Christian. Just take your time and seek the answers...who Knows maybe try a little prayer and ask for guidance in finding your answers. Or just go and look. I learned so much. I was one of the ones that have always had a walk with the Lord. I use to beg my sister to take me to church when I was very young 2 1/2 on up to 6 when I could finally walk alone to church. It is a very personal thing to find Him. And when you do (or if in some people eyes) it is a moment that is personal to some and is kept that way their whole life. No worries..I will pray for you if that is okay. As well if you ever have a question that pops up feel free to email me. I love to share with all I have known and have come to know.
Hugs,
Your Sister In Christ
Or um..
Well good night..

Christians think that every one who burns in Hell is at the fault of the Christians on Earth. Yes, every one who burns in Hell is there because Christians failed to save them. It's their responsibility to save the world from eternal damnation.

will you stop calling Bible-fundies Christians? just because they're so eager to answer questions for Christians doesn't make them Christians at all.
