All they do is spout crap like this......

If a truth exists, then all other is false. There can be only one absolute truth.
"I am the way the truth and the life."

Give me a break, this is utter nonsense. There can be only one.......Highlanderism.

Why cant they just answer a question without reciting some obscure passage from a book? Tell me why cant they think for themselves and come up with an intelligent answer?

the bible is based on illogic. There are moral examples, but unfortunately the bible is completely irrational to our universe.

The Bible is the most Intellectual book ever written, in fact it was written over about 1,400 years, by 40 people, many of whom did not have the writings of the others to study, yet in all that there is no contradiction in it. Further the Science of Theomatics proves that the Bible is mathematically correct, Whereas you present yourself as being an Intelligent being, I am sure you are quite well versed in the Science of Theomatics, but if you will permit me I should like to define it for those that are reading this and may lack your gifted status. The Greek and Hebrew Languages in which the Bible was written both use letters to express numbers, and thus the Bible has been tsted mathematically, each word, and phrase has a Theomatic value and the values are topically consistant. Thus allowing even for the loss of the numerical solidity of the Bible by its translation into Enlish the Bible is still the most ordered book ever written. This is as one would expect as its actual author is the One that designed the Universe to mathematical perfection, and even the Atoms have a mathematical structure so it stands to reason that the Bible would hold to that pattern. note for example Let us begin with Matthew’s account. Here is the very first reference. The entire passage as quoted has a value of 111 x 66.

"And Jacob begat Joseph the Husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ."

JESUS ... 111 x 8
Mt 1:16 Ihsouv

CHRIST ... 111 x 12
Xriston"

Now the second reference occurs in verse 18 of this chapter where the following phrase occurs.

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ thus was: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be pregnant by the Holy Spirit."

THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST THUS WAS ... 111 x 49
Mat 1:18 tou Ihsouv Xristou genesiv outwv hn

"... before they came together, she was found in womb having by the Spirit Holy."

SHE WAS FOUND IN WOMB BY ... 111 x 11
This negates the illogical and lame arguments that the Bible is a man made book. By the way thanks for asking that question. It was fun to answer it for you.

That is the fundamental difference between philosophy and religeon. Philosophy seeks the answers to the big questions, for example "why is there something rather than nothing?" Theology, religeon, takes the answers as revealed, usually in a holy text of some sort, like the Bible. It is based on revelation, therefore there is no need to ask, and no need for philosophy. They have all the answers! Too bad the answers make no sense to people with a brain!

To claim that there can be contradictory truth is what is utter nonsense. If A is true then not A can't be true.

So quoting a well-known scripture is bad form but throwing out "Highlanderism" is OK?

The bible tells them to take everything by "faith"
and means putting away your God given reason that he gave them to think with. If they would realize God is not like whats in the bible ( a cruel God that kills and starts wars and kills thousands for example) they would realize the book is fake. Thats why I am not christian any more. I could not worship God thinking he was cruel.

Any system of religion that has anything in it that shocks the mind of a child, cannot be a true system-Thomas Paine

Because that's what a lot of churches teach.
is that there can be only ONE way of thinking.
I am Christian and I don't recite the bible when people ask me a question.
I think that the churches seriously are mislead when they are trying to convince everyone that you can't think for yourself.
That's the biggest mistake the church is making.
It drives thousands away.

Why so upset? I am not the best Christian man, but I do believe in God, and the good Lord has sure been good to me. Through twenty one years in the Navy, he was always there, through thick and thin. In good times and bad times...and I have had my share.

I just know life sure is better when you have faith and hope. I am not a church going man. But church doesn't save ya, faith in Jesus does that.

Have a good evening pal.

Why does the answer bother you?

If there is truth, then somewhere there is an absolute truth.

If you want to know what it is, and you want it bad enough you will search it out. Will you?

We can answer lots of questions if they make sense but if you want quotes I like these 3 Statments:

1) "Truth is absolute and knowable and must be searched for diligently, but many will try to hide it, deny it or muddy it." - Bia Leung.

2) "Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for; to make them worth it." - C.S. Lewis

3) John 3 - Words of Jesus
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Christians are answering the question. It is a matter of faith and knowing in the heart that it is the truth. It does not make sense to non believers because Jesus has not touched their heart because the do not believe in Him.

Cheers!
