haha, immune to the smell! I don't think I could *ever* get use to the smell! I'm not the last one to notice, but sometimes we wait until the poop is done with... by then others can smell it. We don't want to change them twice!

It's no surprise to me. Who else do you think is going to watch their baby that close? The father? For the most part, fathers expect the mother to take care of the baby. That means, feeding, bathing, changing, laundry, everything.
Is this fair? NO! But since when do you expect your husband to be fair?
I'm old enough to be well past raising babies and even grandbabies for that matter. I'm a male and I don't feel that most fathers are fair when it comes to caring for the baby.
The should know that when they get home from work that they should be ready to take part in the raising of their child. The wife stays home all day and takes care of the baby, changing the diaper and bathing it and feeding the baby and by the time the husband gets home it's time to give her a break.
It's time for guys to stand up and be the parent that they bargained for when they helped to ceate that child to begin with.
Good luck.

Because we are so tired and its the last thing we want to do. If its just 'number 1's' then you don't need to change them every 5 seconds, and if its number two's then you want to delay the envitable as long as you can.
No really, sometimes you're just so busy getting stuff done or trying to finish something that you might leave it. It doesn't kill them to have it on for a few more minutes.
If you really think the mother hasn't noticed at all, then say something. (or change it yourself - mum will love you forever!!)

I don't fit in this group. I was always the first to smell it. Now my husband on the other hand, the kids could have poop in their diapers all day and he wouldn't notice.

Because we become immune to the smell!! I never notice when my children poop. I can't even smell it anymore. My husband always has to tell me that they are dirty. I guess you just get used to it!!
