Sure...just like I fought with my parents. Rebellion is quite normal in children and I was always especially good at winning arguments with my parents so I could get "my way". Of course, God isn't susceptible to manipulation like my parents sometimes were. Headstrong my mom always said...God had to know that I'd fight him every step of the way...I'm just thankful that he stuck with me (and still sticks with me) when I struggle to accept that his plan is better than mine!

Yes and found my arms were to short to box with God. When I lost a brother, I waged war on God. I asked God to "take me", instead of my brother, but He took my brother. I hated God for what He took away from me. I rebelled and did "my will", not His. I turned from the "light" and entered a "darkness" that at times, nearly consumed me, And God allowed me. At one of my darkest hours, when I felt as if I was living/dying, moment to moment and thought that my death was the only way to end my torment, I realized...Sometimes God says "NO" to our prayers. I realized that my brother's suffering was greater than my selfishness. I realized that God's will, will be done and not mine. As a child, I did childish things. I realized that God allowed me the "free will" to be angry with Him; to rebell against Him, knowing in time I would gain "understanding" to things I had not understood. To turn from the darkness to the light and follow Him. With all that I have been through in my lifetime, I know that He gives me the strength to persevere, to go on, putting one foot in front of the other doing my best to do His will and not my own. I will always miss my brother, but I am stronger because of him.

Actually, yes, I have had a "fight" with God.
I became very angry at Him for the death of my best friend who was killed by a drunk driver.
God won the fight though!
And He still loved me anyway, mad or not.

Yeah, and trust me, it does NOT pay, cause either way he would always win. He won't say anything, just be there, but you know, just know that he's always right.
Learnt the hard way and am determined not to do it anymore... but then again human nature is always repititive. Guess I'll just end up hurting at the end of the day, regretting the minute I rebelled.
