this morning we was informed that we will no longer be the supers where we reside at. we were shocked by the news due to the fact that they told us that we have to leave by the first without further notice. I have 3 kids and I have no income coming in since the position I had was being the super here. Is there anywhere that I can go to for help?? the thought of me and the kids being on the streets is scaring me out of my mind....

If you don't have to be out until the 1st of next month, that gives you time to find another job. Even if you can't find a similar job, you can at least get a full time job at a department store or something like that....just to have some money coming in. In the meantime, look for a job and get to hunting for an apartment. Even if you have to get something small, at least it would be your own space and you'd have privacy. If all else fails, yes there are government programs to help you like welfare, unemployment, etc. There are also shelters that can help.

You need to look for another job immediately. You may want to find out why you are losing your position? You'll need to know if you can use them as a reference when your applying for jobs. Go to your local human services agency and see what time of services they have available for you and your children. You don't say if their dad is involved but he may be able to help you with this also. Look in your local phone book for a homless shelter. Go to your local EDD office and see if they can help you with a resume. They give classes to help people prepare resumes and practice interviewing. I don't know what state your in but I'm sure there are many services available in your area.

Talk to your local Red Cross or church. They will usually help you to get back on your feet. Try call Social Services and ask them if they are aware of any programs that would help you.

Family? Can they help? If not, the government might. Look into online. Look into it. I will pray for you! Good luck.
