I am not flaming you Christians but I want to seek the truth.

If Satan was indeed a creation of God and was not evil in the beginning, then why is the Bible declaring Satan as a super villian and even stating that Satan will come as the anti-christ?

When God wrote the Bible why did He have such a prejudice against His own creation, Lucifer?

It does not make sense that Lucifer would be so rebellious.
No son born with good deeds would try to overthrow his own father, right?

So why is Satan so hating? How come He would want to be jealous of a loving father?

Why would Satan not want to repent after realizing defeat for billions of years?

What kind of angel or human in his right mind would be so stubborn and not ask for forgiveness and go live in peace with God?

Does it not sound to cheesy to have such a super villian in reality?

Is it not too convenient for God to have such an evil force against Him, even declaring eternal evil upon Satan?

I would ask you to think about it from another perspective. I think Lucifer might have been jealous not only of God, but of Adam and Eve as well. They were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), he was not. They were given dominion over the earth (Psalms 8:4-6), he was not. Angels were created not only to worship God, but to minister to mankind (Hebrews 1:14).
I also think that the reason he wanted to deceive Adam and Eve was so that he could get them to give up the authority that they already had over the earth so he could usurp it for himself. He couldn't make them do it, because their authority was greater than his. He had to get them to do it themselves. He used his only weapon at his disposal, deception. That is why he appeared as the creature that more subtle and cunning than all others in creation (Genesis 3:1). Check out my source page below for some things to think about.

Alright...here is my best shot at answering...

Revelation was written a LONG time after Satan was cast down....not before. So Satan because evil...and no where does it say that Satan is the beast....

God didn't write bible...his prophets did. The only thing God wrote were the 10 commandments....and Lucifer isn't spoken as the angel who had started the uprising....but was cast out...

The Mormons have the reason why Lucifer was so bad! God asked for someone to come and save the humans(like Jesus did) and Lucifer said "I will...but I want the glory" and Jesus said "I will...but the glory will to go you" When Lucifer didn't get what he wanted...he wanted another type of glory...aka taking over heaven.

Satan cannot repent because of his pride...his anger, jealousy, etc...I mean the fallen angels do have to bow to mankind after all....

Why don't atheists believe and ask for forgiveness? Same thing...

I don't see Satan as a super villain...just an angel who went down the wrong path...

as far as convenient...I would say it would be more convenient to NOT have him try to turn men against Him....wouldn't it?

alright im saying this in terms that arent all crazy like in the bible. so basically, satan was p oed that god was going to be the "ruler" forever and he had to watch and standby and seem like he was nothing compared to god. So he challenged god for his power and of course lost. God is probably angry at lucifer because god gave him alot and satan still wanted more. If you lost a bet and had to pay for with an eternity in hell would you be so hating? Satan doesnt want to repent because he obviously got somewhat what he wanted. He is more important and is known and feared. If he repents, he is just like every other angel. God has to do what he needs to do no matter how evil or not.

At first, everything in the Universe was love and harmony. Every being loved and trusted all other beings. No being had ever died. No being had ever even dreamed about war. Everything was love! The Universe served God because of love and trust for God. God knew what was best for the Universe.

The highest created being in the Universe was Lucifer. Lucifer was called the "Covering Cherub". Apparently Lucifer was the choir director in Heaven. Lucifer was very beautiful!

But, for some reason -- that can never be fully understood here-- something changed in Lucifer’s heart and mind. He began to question God. Lucifer questioned God’s laws. Why couldn’t the angels all decide for themselves what was love? Why should there be "laws" in the Universe? Lucifer wondered...he questioned. Lucifer became proud of his beauty. He became proud of his own ideas and opinions. Lucifer wanted to be "like the Most High" [God]! Lucifer claimed that he had new ideas which would bring a new type of liberty and freedom to the angels and to the Universe.

All heaven was upset. Was this true? Lucifer began to say that not only was there a better way, but that God was unfair. Finally Lucifer accused God of being a tyrant (wicked, selfish leader)! Many angels listened to Lucifer and also began to question God.

The Father and Jesus met with the angels and tried to persuade the angels in the "rightness" of God’s ways. The Father and Jesus tried to show that they are truly love. God's laws are the explanation of love in the Universe. But, Lucifer’s arguments were clever and powerful. The angels could not see where all these arguments of Lucifer would lead!

You can't ask Humans to answer these questions. I highly recommend you to give your faith in God to receive the answer. We'll be given the truth once we are called.

I am an agnostic, but what I've read from the bible possibly explains why this occurred.
Some of the stories in the bible imply that god is an imperfect being, much like us mortals. Remember the story of Noah's arch? God became so angry with the world that he killed off all but Noah, his wife, and a few animals. Afterwards he sent a rainbow to signify that He would never do this again. It is possible that God was admitting that he was in error.
If this was the case, God could have made a mistake when he created Satan. Perhaps God wanted someone with ambition who would try to perfect the world - but that ambition soon turned against God as (If I remember it correctly) Lucifer tried to take over the throne of heaven. Satan perhaps thought he could rule over mankind better than God - and thus wasn't really doing anything wrong. When god punished satan by imprisoning him in hell, Satan was hurt by God's lack of faith in him and logically would be hateful of God everafter.

Satan was once an angel. He was very good at what he did, and was known as the "Shining Star" among angels. I believe that is what his name, Lucifer, really means.

Now it seems that over time, he got too proud of himself. He began to think that he could do a better job of running things than God could. He never denied that God has the power to rule, but he argues that God does not have the right to rule.

It has gotten to be almost a sort of "contest" between Lucifer and God as to whom people will choose to worship. God permits Lucifer and his followers, who were eventually booted out of heaven because of their continuing rebellion, to try to convince people to move away from God. Lucifer does win a few souls, all right, but he appears to be losing in the long run.

When the appointed time comes, God will call a halt to the contest, and Lucifer will be put in his permanent place. He may know what God says the outcome will be, but evidently he does not believe that God has the power to do what He says.

The book of Revelation describes events due to happen as Lucifer's time comes to a conclusion.

1. There is no satan.
2. God did not create satan, good or evil.
3. The Bible does not declare satan a super-villain, modern Christians do.
4. Lucifer has nothing whatsoever to do with satan. In fact, Lucifer is not even in the Bible (it is only found in translations that follow Jerome's Vulgate).
5. The Bible does not say that satan/Lucifer was rebellious, Christians do.
6. The Bible does not imply that satan/devil/Lucifer is the son of God or the creation of God.

God did not have prejudice against Lucifer... He was actually the most beautiful of all angels and the one with the most powers.

Try to look at this way. Sometimes we raise our children the right way and yet they still rebel... does that make us bad parents? did we do something wrong?

If you look around, Satan is not being defeated... sin is all around us and he has many followers.

First of all, we shuld not be questioning God, he did everything for a reason, though we may not know it right now. But to answer your question, here is what I think. When God made all of his creations and people he decided to give them the choice of whether to do good or evil [we always hear that, right]. Anyways, Satan chose evil. It's as simple as that. He didn't choose right. God didn't make him the wrong way, and it wasn't a mistake. Satan just decided he wanted to be God and when his jealousy became too much God threw him out of heaven along with all the other demons that agreed with him. Satan did not want to repent after so many years of defeat for a reason. God told him he would not be forgiven to go back into heaven after all that. When he was cast down into hell and denied his father, he was saying he wanted no more part of where he was and his life there. he wanted to be God, and if he couldn't, he would try to be a God in hell where he would send "demons" if you will, into the world to tempt people.. This dates way back to the beginning of scripture when Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Now there is evil in the world. There are many things we do not know. But we do know there is evil in the world and that it was because of Adam and Eve that we do work now because of our Ungodly actions. Nobody is perfect it states in the scripture except for the Trinity of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Satan chose his destiny in the burning pit of fire in hell forever, now he tries to tempt people to do bad things. And if you refuse to accept Jesus in your heart and go to heaven, one day you, too, will be joining him in hell as all the other people who have chosen to ignore the gospel will one day too perish in that awful place. It's your choice. Please make the right decision. I hope this helps.
