Sometimes money and economics can be factors on a student being in martial arts or continuing. I would find out the reason why and if it is money talk to your instructor and perhaps something can be worked out. You don't say how old you are or if you live near the school but maybe there is something you can do like clean the studio, hand out flyers, etc. for his school. Maybe you can cut his lawn during the summer for free classes or wash and vacuum his car weekly. Time is money and if he is doing them himself it frees up his time to promote his business and/or teach lessons. If he is paying someone that is money in his pocket that he won't be spending. Billy Blanks and many others who could not afford karate lessons when they were young and first starting out were able to study and train this way.

Dose not sound like a good situation. Find out if she will let you continue if you can find a way to pay for it. Maybe some odd jobs around the neighborhood or something. Another possibility is to talk to your instructor and find out if you can do some work around the dojo to pay for class maybe he will let you clean the dojo in return for classes. It never hurts to explore all possibilities. Maybe she is just afraid you might be hurt. If this is the case have her talk to your instructor about it. I have been in martial arts for 27 years and it has helped me in many ways.

Make a list of all the ways this class has helped improve your life. Compare it to a list she makes of her reasons for wanting you to stop.

Ever consider it may be a money issue? Most parents do not want their kids to know that the family is having money issues.

All you can do is push her buttons. Just don't push the wrong ones.
If she is dead against it, sorry your probably out of luck.
