Full time is typically defined as 12 or more credit hours per semester.
12 hours in class + 36 hours of homework = 48 hours of school work per week.

Full time student is when you are taking near maximum credits that your college will allow. For example, 5-6 classes per semester is the equivalent of a full-time student.

I think its the same as working hours. A full time student is bust with school for 5 full days per week.
However, a lot of colleges and universities will call you full time if you have a course load 2 thirds or more of a full course load. meaning if 5 courses are a full load then 3.5 courses would be full time.

full time studfent is 12 units. that means 4 classes.
that means an average of 16 hours of class time, and 32 hours of study time.
but lets get real, who the hell studies for 32 hours a week. its u sually 24 hours all put together at the end of each semester, a day before the tests

The definition of "full time" is alittle different from one Institution to another...-So you might be wise to find out from the place you're going to EXACTLY what they see it as.
