Satan serves a purpose, does he not?
We don't hate our trash collectors. God doesn't hate Satan. They keep each other in business.

God didn't create him, He gives us free will in order for us to choose what path to take.
I am surprised that Christians claim that Satan is not a son of God, since we all call him heavenly father.
You call him Heavenly Father?!?!? I find that hard to believe!
I am also surprised that Christians are so convinced that Satan is evil and can never be forgiven, despite always saying that God is merciful and forgiving for all sins
He is merciful and forgiving, of those who REPENT for their sins.
I am also surprised that God himself declares Satan as super villain who WILL bring chaos to humanity, since God would NEVER destine anything, He will just know the possibilities of the future.
Quote your sources please.
I am also surprised that 1/3 of the angels would go against God, since God is so loving and powerful, why would so many angels go against all odds?
And AGAIN with the free will
I am also surprised that Christians think that Satan is some kind of a moron who hasn't learned that he can't fight God after Billions of years living on earth.
You have a right to be surprised, that doesn't change our minds.

A) It's a matter of the purpose each was created for. There are those who are sons of God, and those who are not. This is backed up in scripture, and is what makes him our (those who are the sons of God) his heavenly father.
B) There is a point when even man is not forgiven, and so why no the devil? God is many different things, not just mercyful and forgiving, and according to scripture not of all sin.
C) The word "supervillian" is not in the bible, and God personally does a lot of things according to the bible, including a scripture that says if I hold my peace the lord WILL fight my battles (the caps is for your sake, you seem to like them to show action)
D) Pretty hard to speculate not being 1/3 of heaven and all. Also it says that 1/3 fell not with him, so we don't really know what role they actually played, in Heaven or with the devil.
C) I think he is more like a wolf praying on sheep. Even when trying to temp Christ, he was very cunning. At least that is what scripture points out, hard to see him as a moron in that light.
D) Do you think he is a spirit? the bible really isn't clear on this.
And finally these are intersting "points" but really more routed in christian like mythology rather then what is actually IN the bible. I think if you are going to wonder about something like the devil, you should do a little more reading about the devil and see if the bible can't asnwer some of those questions for you before you take them to yahoo answers.

Free will.
His angels have free will.
Human's have free will.
If Satan accepted Christ Jesus as his sacrifice for his sins, then Satan would be saved.
It is Satan's choice to NOT be saved.
Not God's
A gift from God. Satan was not always evil.
Pride is the most powerful sin.
Sin (disobey) came into Lucifer's heart.
He wanted to become God the creator.
now...
How can a created being be greater than the being that created him?

Not a hard question at all, ok first of all Lucifer is a Son of God, and so were all of the angels that he cast out of heaven, but God also gave Angels, and Humans free will, God did not give him this evil, he chose to be evil, as so many humans also do, and Lucifer with many other angels chose to rebel against the Lord, because Lucifer wanted to be God, and was jealous, God does not declare Lucifer as a super villain, but vain, and blue incarnate, God is forgiving of sins if the person chooses to come into the Body, and accept Christ as their savior, also God Loves Lucifer, he Loves all, and does not hate.

First off God did not create Satan, he created Lucifer. And to Lucifer was given the power to choose what he wanted to do, when he wanted to do it, just as this power was given to us.
At some point Lucifer decided he wanted to take this power away from us, and convinced the 1/3 of the spirits that he grant them great power if they followed him instead of God.
Lucifer and the spirits had their freedom to choose what they did, but not the consequences.
And so they were cast out and Lucifer was stripped of his name and given a new one.
Our Father in Heaven is loving, He is so loving that He allows us to do whatever we want. But after that it's up to us learn to live with the consequences.

ok, lets go back to Christianity 101.
God created all things. God created Satan. Satan wasn't always bad. Satan became vain. Satan was kicked out of Heaven. A lot of "fallen" angels choose to go with Him. This is called "freewill".
Now, after reading many of your posts over the past, why are you so angry with God. Why do you find it necessary to flame Christians?
May God Bless You.

In Revelation 20:7-10 the bible clearly says that when the thousand years end, Satan will be let out of his prison. he will go out to decieve the nations from every corners of the earth, which are called Gog and Mogog, he will gather them together for battle a mighty host, as numberless as sand along the shore. And I saw them as they went on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded God's people and the beloved city. But fire from heaven came down to attacking the armies and consumed them. Then the Devil, who betrayed them, was thrown in the lake of fire that burns with sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they were tormented day and night forever and ever.

These are only a few of the internal inconstistencies of a religion which owes its continued existence to the extraordinary capacity of its adherents to relinquish critical thinking and intellectual honesty for the illusory solace blind faith provides.

You are in a surprising state - and I am not surprised. Of course you will come to a point where there is no logical answer to your questions Are you still surprised when you realise that you are dealing with the supernatural - above natural understanding.
