I heard it in a video, but I don't know the spelling and I couldn't find it anywhere online...?

it is "moufles" = mitten

"Moufles" are usually gloves with unseparated fingers. Fingerless gloves should be called "gants sans doigts" (fingerless) or "gants de cyclistes" (cycling gloves, or track mitts).
