No and No.
Technically, if we all bought into the faith theory then you can make up any story and people will believe it by faith. You don't need to prove it and it doesn't have to make any sense whatsoever. If people doubt you, they are going to hell and when they ask you how you know, all you have to say is look at the trees, the flowers the bees. How do you think they came into existence.
I tell you, i've got the whole faith thing down. I could start a religion tomorrow and make some good money plus control some faithful believers

A person bases faith on what they believe is fact. The two sides cannot stand independently. One cannot be taught without the other.
All things that are taught in the world, whether it be religious or academic, started out based on faith, and then were proven to be fact. So therefore, what is proven to be truth in the end is what validates faith.

Actually Faith comes from the heart( no logic is necessary) but Fact comes from mind( need logic) but that doesn't mean faith is lesser than Fact, you can not compare both because faith is for religion and fact is for science, they are two side of a coin called life, you have to use them in right proportion to understand life better
I belive in god

Faith is faith. I know I can teach someone something souly off faith because Faith is believing in something you cant see such as hope, love, future, consequences of actions, and that someone will call you or come home. You believe these things will happen there for you have faith in them. Faith to me is way better than fact. Fact is the knowledge of things but faith is actual believing in them.

That's like asking which is better, water or food. They are substantively different, but both neccessary. Faith deals with the spirit. Faith and fact are not mutually exclusive either. All of us believe things and live our lives based on learnings we couldn't neccessarily back up with fact.

Facts and evidence are the only way to go. Faith just means you'll believe anything you're told to believe. Think for yourself.

No. Faith is hocus pocus. Fact reigns supreme. If a person is burdened with faith, he or she should try to keep it from contradicting fact. Isn't honesty and truthfulness a Christian virtue?

No its not because people have faith in contradicting ideas. Every religious person has faith in their particular religious doctrine. You can't all be right, so faith without evidence to back it up is just your opinion

First question: I rely on both. Well...we all do. But to what degree is different. I think I found a good balance for my life.
2nd question: Depends on what we're teaching them.
