My husband and I are going to his parent's cabin on a lake this weekend. I would like to bring a gift. Any ideas?

Depends on how "friendly" you are with the in-laws.
If you've been there before, you can get a little decorative gift like pretty dishtowels for the kitchen or something like that.

Something really cool would be a photo album. You can tell them you're hoping to start a great tradition and get some good photos this weekend!

Otherwise, I'd go with a large bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine. Throw in a fun game you can all play after dinner one night.

i'm sure others will have really cool ideas..i'm thinking a fruit basket, bottle of wine (if they like wine) or a nice, soft throw for the cabin.

What about a nice fruit basket, with possibly a bottle of wine, if they aren't opposed to drinking.

Buy something that is related to the interest of your In Law that could be a book, a play ticket etc...
