My mom is sick of me. The way i dress, the clothes i want to buy, the music i listen to like Motley Crue and KISS. But I'm being this way for a reason. I have a dream of becoming a rock star and if i go to a fostor home then my dream will be shattered. Should i tell her to let me live with a friend?

my family were going to send aswell when i was a bit starge (goth, emo, ect.) but then i changed, im not saying you have to change maby invest in an ipod, and maby change your attitude towards them.
it worked for me and my family is extreamly tuff...

I feel you that you have a dream and I hope that your dream comes true, but you do not have to dress the part. Your mom may be getting the impression that you are using drugs and are being influence by members of your peers. If you do not want her to send you away then you have to change your ways and your attitude she is the only mom you have and if something would ever happen to her do you think that someone else would put up with your ****. We all have phases and we all have dreams, but in order for them dreams to be reality we have to discipline and respectful to ourselves and others. Talk to her and let her know what your dreams are and what you want to do with your life she may feel that you are leaving her out and do not want to share or include her in what you are about. If you both can compromise you can both get along just change your clothes and attitude and try to agree on the music, but do not give her the impression that you are using drugs and you are not listening to her show her respect you owe her that much for listening to that awful music.

Im so sry. Thats mean.... But she probally doesent understand why u are acting like that. You should talk to her. Tell her your dreams. But dont yell or raise your voice because that wont help. Just ask her if u guys can sit down and have a chat about what your point is for acting the way u are. She shouldent just go to the choice of putting u in foster care, shes ur mom. But if u want to be a rock star dont just listen to music and dress like them and just sit around waiting for your dream to appear right infront of u. Those ppl worked hard where they are now. Play and insturement, take singing lesons. And if your moms so sad about how your acking mabey have her get a counsler, a counsler isent just for when your angery or depressed it can be for lots of reasons. They can help u presue your dreams and make then achaully happen. Mabey take some acting lessons, mabey dance too. Good luck and i hope i help.Take care!!

Your mom can't just give you up to a foster home. She has to go through paper work & has to have a very good reason of giving you up. And, a foster home won't take you just because your mom says she doesn't like the way you dress & the music you listen to. There has to be a very good reason for a foster home to take you in such as (neglect, abuse, & so on....) So, I wouldn't worry about that. But, if she insists on getting you out of the house... go & live w/ a family member or friend. And in my opinion, she shouldn't have anything to worry about...music is music ya know? Everybody has their own likings:D If I were her I would be happy that your into music & not other things (drugs). It could be worse ya know? ;) Good luck!!

Once you are 18 and emancepated, you can be anything you want.
Until you are 18, you are living in their house, by their rules, eating their food and sleeping in their bed. And yes, watching their TV. It is ok for you to have your own opinion and your own preferences. Just be respectful in what you do and how you do it.
Sounds like your mom is giving you a choice.
Family rules or Foster Home.
until your 18th birthday.
Your attitude is showing here. Remember Kids don't TELL their parents anything. They ASK. That constitutes respect.
