Does anyone know if Turkey can make a child that has ADD put them into a bad/mad mood.

In all of my research Turkey is a Happy food.
But it does not mean that the current amount of steroids added to the bird to make it grow faster and bigger are not affecting the child.
Check out the processing of the supplier or try a so called 'free rage' bird.

I have an ADD kid and have never noticed that, in fact that's his favorite sandwich meat, but turkey is a good food to eat if you want to sleep--it has tryptofan ?? in it, which makes the general adult sleepy. Is your son affected that way? I think my son would have gotten really grumpy. He's 17 now, and tends to control himself most of the time because he doesn't want the public to see him being out of control.

No, I don't believe that's so. As someone who has dealt w/ ADD for over ten years, I can tell you that bad moods are just a part of ADD. Kids w/ ADD can be ticked off easily and almost for no reason at all. It's not something the kid eats/drinks, it's just life in general. Your kid should be seeing a shrink, all kids w/ ADD should.

Turkey makes the body produce large amounts of serotonin. It is also called triptothan. It is the "FEEL GOOD HORMONE" ..That being said that doesn't mean he can't get a different reaction because of his body chemistry or allergic reaction! Also make sure the turkeys label says hormone free!
