I am dark skinned Italian and my hair is sooo thick I wish I could cut it all off. Its so thick I can only wrap a hair tie around it twice. And to make it all worse...I live in Florida. I got my hair layered and it kinda helped, and its easier to take care of, But im going to get my hair thinned and I heard from a lot of people that it works. So try that =]]

Go to the hair dresser and ask them to cut your hair in layers and also do thinning. Its the process of cutting the hair roughly using a downwards motion of the scissors/razor and this means it cuts off a lot more than you think, making it thinner along with the layers also. Believe thick hair is good because when you get older you will be greatful for it. hope this helps.

My hair is pretty thick too. I would talk to a beautician about the problem.
I recently had about 4 inches cut off the length of my hair and am alot happier.

my hair is the same exact way. the salon i go to told me not to thin out your hair like everybody is saying because it actually makes your hair grow back even thicker! i say just try a hairut with sidebangs, and layers. keep your hair longer so that the thickness weighs your hair down beause when it's shorter it can go wild and bushy. also, straighten it for a sleeker look. i hope i helped! it worked on my hair. It's a good thing, trust me. You can get it thinned a bit at the hairdresser.... and get some layers. Tell the hairdresser what u want.
