if I told people that God married me and Jensen Ackles...does that make us married since no one could really dispute it? After all, who could dispute God about Adam and Eve being married since no one was there to witness it?

Adam and Eve were one flesh.
We who agree to unite vow to God are by faith one flesh.
If a man and a woman vow before God to be so joined they are married but all who know God knows we are to follow the law and most places recognize marriage as a legal union than so it is with God we are not to be law breakers.

Gods not real dear. Adam and Eve are a story in a book of myths. No more than Medusa or Cyclops or the Minotaur are real.
Anyway who says Jenson Ackles (whoever he may be) will have you?

God was there. He is also there if you say that you and Jensen Ackles are married. Be sure that it is truth because to lie is a sin. It you are telling the truth, congratulations on the marriage. Will their be a honeymoon?

If you fit the criteria of Mark 10:6-9. then you are already married in the eyes of God. In the eyes of men, you may have to have a ceremony or visit city hall.

They were married by God.He made a help mate for Adam.Your talking about marriage that is by the laws of man.Mankind made all kinds of rules.Remember in the old testament rich men had many wives and concubines.Were they married by the church?

No because you could be lying. When Adam and Eve were married humans were not capable of lies because that was before the whole forbidden fruit incident.

The state, local and federal government would probably not accept your logic. In order to enjoy the benefits of marriage in the united states (I mean the tax breaks, etc), you must obtain a license. Sorry!

There were no priests yet and so God was the only one who could marry them. Now you can't do that because there are priests.
