you will never get Tylenol as strong as vicodin- vicodin has hydrocodone in it, making it stronger than the Tylenol alone,
and vicodin is a controled substance- a narcotic
tylenol is a pain reliever over the counter

vicodin is hydrocodone and acetomenophin (tylenol). One vicoding usually has the same amount as one extra strength tylenol WITHOUT the hydrocodone which is the pain killing narcotic. DO NOT take more than 1000mg of tylenol or you can get very serious liver problems. Try taking ibuprofen and tylenol at the same time (they are processed in different ways and won't interact with eachother)

The dosage of the Vicodin is actually the amount of mg of Tylenol in the pill.
The strongest ingredient in Vicodin is actually Hydrocodone, and the amount of Hyd. is the mg of tylenol/100. For example, a Vicodin 500 is actually 5mg of Hyd. but 500mg of Tylenol.

over the counter Tylenol doesn't have narcotics in it... so you really can't compare them. Vicoden is a very addictive drug that is used on people that are suffering the most excruciating pain. It's used by doctors... and drug dealers on the street!

Vicodine has another ingredient that makes it work better, but you could probably take 3 or 4 Tylenol and not do much damage.

There is no conversion table. Tylenol is brand name over-the-counter non-aspirin pain medication. Vicodan is prescription synthetic codeine and is addictive. NEVER use it if you can get by on anything else. Best wishes
