And am not talking about the bible but there are even magazine articles on this that 99 percent of the time guys will leave you once you give it up and the chances of marriage are almost zero. I have talk to guys who were as young as 15 to older like 60 something and all of them said they would sleep with a girl but never marry her and they don't really go for virgins but would rather marry one. Even a Italian guy told me he hates when women give it up he will sleep with them but its too easy.
Am a 19 year old virgin and had plenlty of chances but wanted to wait for the right guy anyway plus if your not a virgin you should still hold off and not be known as the easy one.

To the third poster:its very rare I never say it doesn't happen but rare what are the chances do you see how many young girls with kids? Non of them are married guess I proved you wrong.

I agree guys too but guys joke with other guys sometimes how easy she was and what a ho ect. I felt bad for that Irish girl thinking guys here are differant.....nope.

Thanks so much charlotte s's guys are like that even older ones too sometimes so what you love him but he loved your body and your body only and some of these answers are sick how they want to sleep with the person before marriage yes sex comes with it but theres more to a person then sex.
And if she/he fails I guess you had sex and on to the next person just plain sick!

we will never know why girls give it up, look at all the "im 15 and just had sex with my boyfriend" questions on Yahoo, i mean its like really populating the whole forum, its just really sad, its like there are no more virgins on the planet, i just turned 21, still a virgin and many people see that as "OMG shes so stupid and a loser!!"
but i'm saving my virginity for the RIGHT guy! the guy i will marry, i want HIM to be the FIRST i give myself to.

Well, there are several different views going on here. First of all, women who have sex with a guy are NOT cutting off their chance of marriage. The guys think that women who give it up quickly are not for marriage, but when you meet the person you are meant to be with, it won't matter how quick you sleep with them. What is meant to be is meant to be. I think that it is wonderful that you want to remain a virgin, but do not do it because you think that you are losing your marriage ability if you do have sex.
Also, I would want to know if I even enjoyed sex with a person before I got married. Sex is a big part of a relationship because if you do not enjoy it with your husband, then you will dread going to bed at night, and you take a chance of other levels of intimacy failing.
Once again, please do not think that I am saying you should hav sex, but you can not think that having sex will take away your chances of meeting a great guy........ I have a friend who slept with a guy on first date and has now been married to him for 14 years!!

I completely disagree with this on 99 % of guys not marrying someone who is not a virgin. Where are you getting these stats? I mean hey if you want to wait until you get married, more power to you. But I look at it this way, sex is important to me, VERY important. It isn't everything granted, but you can be very physically attracted and mentally in tune with one another, but not everyone's body chemistry mixes with one another.
In other words would you buy a car without test driving it, I think not! Why would I marry a man, before test driving him? I don't want to have a miserable sex life because we aren't physically compatible. Because this is going to be destructive to both people if sex at all has any importance.
Where guys tend to say not want to "marry" a girl that gives it up is the ones that are easy and just rush right into sex like the 1st, 2nd or 3rd date. Sometimes even longer, this varies on the guy of course on what is there definition of "easy". It is best to wait until you really see it going somewhere or you are in love with the person, before that can ruin things.
FYI - most guys don't find "Judgemental" an endearing quality they want in a future wife, so I would work on judging us who have made an ADULT choice to have sex with another ADULT. You are referring to teens and that is totally different than with adults, period. Remain a virgin, that's fine but don't judge those that choose another path. To each there own. Honestly from your statements, you can definately tell you are 19 and have A LOT to learn from life! Be secure in who you are and that's all that matters, why do you care how others dictate there life? You shouldn't.

Well, I believe it's a personal choice.
If you want to wait til the right guy comes along, then that is great and everyone should be supportive of you.
However, I think it's ridiculous that you'd list different men who've told you that they'd marry a virgin, yet they'll sleep around.
Double standard in 2007 seems kinda silly doesn't it? Very VERY glass ceiling.
Even though you're giving examples of "different" men who've told you about virgins vs. non virgins...I think they all represent the same quality...chauvanism.
But sweetheart, if you want to keep it til you get married or meet someone great, then no one should judge you!!!

I deff agree like I have seen it alot like with my friends they are dateing a guy and as soon as they have sex its over and they break up maybe its because there is no other step except for marriage and not many young ppl want to get married at 16 17 18 and 19 also a guy dosent want to marry a girlvthat is easy he just wants to have sex with her an easy girl isnt some one he can take to mom as i have herd guy friends say that before.

It's everyones choice. For me, I only wanted to have sex with someone I was in love with. If I wasn't in love, it wasn't going to happen. I've only loved two guys in my life and they were the only two I know I would not have regretted sleeping with. As it is, I never did sleep with the first guy because things just did not work out. So now, the only guy I have slept with is also the guy I'm going to marry. For me this makes me happy to know that the one I love is the only one I've slept with. Had I slept with the other guy I loved, I know I would be upset with myself for doing so because I wouldn't have felt like he was the wrong guy or the wrong time. It just works out a little better this way, though!

Can you post where you're reading all this b.s.? 99% of guys will leave a girl once she gives it up??? That's bullsh*t and I find it VERY hard to believe. I'd venture to say that WAAAAY less men than that will leave a girl just for sleeping with them before marriage. I think it's great and awesome if one can hold off until marriage to get married but in todays society that's not too common.

My husband was a one night stand gone awry. I wasn't looking for a relationship at all, but I just couldn't shake him. We had sex on our first date, engaged in 9 months, married 6 moths later.
I think you just need to make sure you aren't dating a jerk. And, I think that # is wrong. If 99% of the time a guy won't marry a girl because they had sex before marriage... I don't think so many people would be married.

one day i happened upon a conversation of a group of boys they were in their teens 17 18 they did not see me but they were talking about this girl there were five of them and they were talking about how they sharing this girl actually the were arguing about how to break up with her so the next guy could start talking to her they were even talking and laughing about what she will do when she is drunk or high so just keep yourself until the right one comes along he and you will really appreciate it in the long run and he will always second guess another woman over you.

wow. thats incredibly judgmental. you say that a guy will leave you if you have sex with him before marriage, but how do you know that i want to marry him? how do you know it isn't the girl doing the leaving?
i don't "give it up." i have sex because i enjoy it. and i am not upset by my decision in the least. for every guy that says he wants to marry a virgin, there is another that says he will marry a woman who is sexually experienced. so whats your point?
if you want to stay a virgin until marriage, go for it. but don't judge or condemn others for making a different decision.
