a poster stated that none come into authority except through god. if this is true then does that mean that god rigs the elections in countries that are supposed to be having free elections and deciding who they want to lead them. in other words is god decideing who people vote for or do we truly have free will andelect our own leaders?

No way! Awesome avatar! The kids SHOULD be scared. It's not a good day to be a bad guy! As for your question, any christian will tell you "Yes you have free will" but then, it creates a paradox, because if you have free will, you can vote for whoever you want. But if god is omnipotent, then he already knows who you are going to vote for and elect. So, how can someone who already knows the out come of a topic, say that it is really free will? Can god create a boulder even he can not lift?

I think that somewhere in the Bible it states that the hearts of the kings are in the hands of God. We have the free will to put into office whoever has the most votes. It is just that God knows ahead of time who is going to win. There are alot of areas that even Christians don't truly know everything. We try and are probably wrong at times. It is just that God is not human and His ways are beyond our understanding. We try to explain the best we can.

This means that life is predestined. Since God allows free will, the mass of it is so bizarre that it would take many lifetimes to figure out this equation. Knowing that there is no time, and all happens simultaneously in reality, Jesus knew what would occur before it happened to him.
I don't think that God arranges lives but our interaction and preplanned lives are allowed by the free will gift. God does not rig elections, People do before they arrive. Don't blame God. He does not create messes but allows us to learn from our mistakes.

Do you really want to know the answer? Let me ask you then if God made you write this question. Common sense would tell you that if God wants us to believe in Him He would not allow anyone to write a question that questions his veracity.

If we had no free will, He would make it so that every question served to further prove His great truth and remove all doubt.

No, we do not have free will. God's own trust Him to guide their footsteps, and their hanging chads at the voting booth, and He even orchestrates the governments in their courses. Those that do not believe, do not recognize His actions in the course of history.

Who did you vote for the last time you voted? Did God make you make that choice, or did you have the free will to make your choice? Ask yourself that question..... That might be your answer.

I think, everyone has a choice to believe in anything they feel inclined to. I also don't think it is decent of anyone to blame the responsibility for stupid choices they have been making on political level on mighty God. I would call them cowards.

In christianity theory :

You have free will, as long as your decision is based on our god you are right. Other then that you go to hell.

In General Public :

Free will? ya, sure ... .you are free to write a will, but it would not be enforced.

God does not want us to have free will, that is why he sent his son to die for us.
