Pull hers back! It worked for me with both of mine, and my girlfriends daughter too. If it doesn't work, its not too early to have 2min timeout in the cot (that way she can't get out or hurt herself) and she will soon get the picture. If she displays any undesirable behaviour, say "no ....., that hurts mummy," "thats naughty" and if she doesn't stop, put her in the cot again and again until she gets it. She's not too young to start timeout for a minute or two.
The earlier you start the easier it is further down the track. My son, now 2.5yrs had timeouts at 12mths+ age, and if he starts doing something now and I say no,or "do you want to go to timeout" he just drops it straight away.
It sounds cruel but it works even at this age.

I know it will be hard, but do not react at all. If that doesn't work after a couple of days, pull her hair (just a few strands, and really quickly) but try to do it immediately as she's pulling yours. The first method cured my son of it in about a week, and the second method cured my daughter in 3 days.

Tell her NO sternly. If you are holding her and she does it, put her down and tell her that mommy won't hold her if she does that. If she does it again, repeat.
If she does it to get your attention, tell her that she is hurting you and she can get your attention by calling mama or whatever she calls you. If she continues to do it, remind her and ignore her until she does what you are telling her to do.
It shouldn't take too long for her to realize that she's not going to get a reaction from you and she will get bored by it. Do NOT get angry and scream because she thinks your reaction is funny.
By the way, as soon as she does what you've told her to do, respond IMMEDIATELY otherwise she'll go back to hair pulling.

If you want to stop her pulling your hair, first even if it hurts you, try to keep calm and not react on to it.If these doesn't help then the best thing keep your hair in pony tile.
She is still small to understand that she is giving you pain, but start from now explaining to her that this is no good at some point she'll get it.
Good luck

Time outs in a chair. And then let her know you feel sad when she does it. It hurts.(Don't listen to the old-fashioned folks who want to tell you to do it back--that will just teach her how to be violent.) Little ones understand at a young age what makes us tick. Also, reward her for every good behavior in between. I used to think this mentality was too namby-pamby..but I am a mom and a pediatric home care nurse..It works well.

This sounds a lot meaner than it is, but my son used to do the same thing. I finally ended up pulling his hair, hard, one good time. He stopped pulling hair, tho. I hated it. I had to go cry, I'm such a big sissy. I didn't let him see me, tho.
A gentler tactic is to set her down on the floor- don't play with her for a few minutes. When you sit her down, say no, in a low, firm voice. This worked for my daughter. Somuch easier to do than pull hair. But different things work for different kids, even in the same family. Good luck.

My son used to do that too. He thought my reaction was funny which in turn made him do it more frequently. It might be difficult but try not to react to it when she pulls your hair. Good luck

pull it back into a ponytail for a few days.
she is only 14 months old, she doesnt yet realize that it hurts you... all she knows is that she gets a reaction.
just ignore her and dont give her the opportunity to pull it.

I wear my hair in a ponytail and, when I remember, I wear a necklace for my daughter to pull instead.

Mine does too. Mine is 21 months old and my hair is very long and she it stuck on it now. Her dad has been over seas so we sleep together and now she has to hold it to go to sleep. You might want to break her now or else put up with it. Jennifer
