The main library is behind Bryant Park on Fifth Avenue between 41st and 42nd Streets. Most likely you'll get a voice machine. Best is to go there if you want to talk to someone breathing.

The main library is at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue. You can probably find contact info on their website.
