We have a long haired chihuahua and he is a good little dog. He enjoys sitting on your lap and being petted. He is a little skittish around new people. He also has an annoying high pitch yip. Those are some of his traits.

they are great lap warmers
they are very protective of their owner
they come in both long and short hair ( there is no such thing as a teacup or miniture)
they are very loving
I will admit as most small dogs they can get yappy but if trained young and correctly this can be stopped
You can easily take them al ost everywhere with you
I have never had problems housetraining my chihuahuas
If you prefer they can be litter box trained
I love chihuahuas

The Chihuahua breed is known as a small type pet,but sometimes not suitable for small children,as most are very fisty and don't like children or strangers.Easy breed to care for,but sorta snappy.
