I live within 10 miles of all the tv stations in my town. I can pick-up FOX, CBS, and NBC with the over the air HDTV antenna but sometimes it seems to go in and out. Sometimes its so sensitive that when someone walks infront of the tv, or up the stairs that the signal goes out for a moment. I have tried adjusting this everyway I can think of. Is thier something I can do to boost the signal or do I just need a more powerful antenna. Football season is up soon and I'm tired of only being able to watch it sometimes in HDTV

Thanks

Try antennaweb.org

They provide recommendations on what type of antenna you need (that is, gain) depending on your address/zip code.
They also provide the best angle to aim your antenna.
In general, you probably need an outdoor antenna for the best possible reception

If you can, try to access the diagnostic tool in your digital tuner to check the signal strength on each of the channels you're having problems with. Very likely it's bouncing between locking and unlocking.

Indoor antennas will suffer from multipath fading and attenuation no matter how powerful the amplifier is. Might want to consider installing an outdoor one. Then you won't have to worry about getting a signal through walls or getting disrupted by walking people.
