From 7 pm to 9 pm she had most all signs of labor (clear discharge, painful meowing, consistant licking, and nervous pacing.
Today, she is acting perfectly fine, as if nothing happened, eating regularly and assuming the usual cat nature.
Can anyone relate? Answers, besides the vet, would be greatly appreciated.

It probably was a false labor.I've had my animals go through that twice. Both times I was very anxious lol.If she seems all better now then it shouldnt need vet care.If she were still having the same symptoms still, it would be that she's having trouble giving birth and that would require vet care. But seeming as though she's fine, I wouldn't worry much.If symptoms happen again then yes, it could well be pre-labor.Meaning kittens are soon to be there :)

Sounds like pre-labor. The kittens are moving down into position. She'll probably have them tonight--most do in the middle of the night. Just keep an eye on her and if she is actively pushing for more than an hour and no kitten is produced then yes she needs a vet! :)

Do you know her due date? Do you know the day she was bred? Gestation is usually 63 days, give or take.

I would take her temperature rectally twice a day. Her temperature will drop a couple of degrees just before she goes into labour. If her temperature rises or if she strains for more than an hour without producing a kitten, she needs to see a vet.

I'm guessing that she will have her babies within the day. Keep her isolated in a small, safe area.

Good luck.

particular. If she cried and panted for 20 minuets this AM, then stopped, you should call the vet. She would have a super kitten caught in the delivery canal. if it somewhat is so, she would desire a c sec, to get it and something of the muddle out.

maybe she had a miscarage and honestly (im sorry) but at the time needed to see a vet. and still does. but idk if it was my cat i'd wait about 2 days and if still no kittens take her in.
