My friend has a little female beagle dog. She's a pretty small little doggy. one day my friend told me her dog(Opal) wanted puppies rele badly because she had a "faulse pregnancy." there's this really big german sheperd dog that lives on their street and my friend was afraid that Opal would try to have puppies with it. She says the puppies would be too big for her stomach because the dog was a german sheperd. if a little beagle and a german sheperd did have puppies, the mom being the beagle, would the puppies be too big for the mom's stomach and hurt her? i don't think so but my friend does, sooo i'm just curious.

Letting the beagle have puppies with the German shepherd would most likely kill her. I suggest getting her spayed so she never gets pregnant for her own good. It will also save her from pyometra, cancers, and other deadly problems. Call a shelter near you, and they can usually give you numbers for places that will spay her very inexpensively.

My 75lbs. Plott breed my 20lbs beagle. The beagle delivered all 8 pups with no problem. I keep 2 pups and gave the rest to a hunting buddy. So the answer is no. On the other hand I dont think there is much demand for shepard/beagle cross pups so I would definitely be careful to not let them breed.

Yes, your friend is right. The babies could be so big they would get stuck being delivered and the vet would have to do a c-section if you knew they were being born. If you didn't know and she went somewhere, like a closet, she could die in childbirth.

Tell your friend she is correct. She will need a male dog about the same size as her female,or the female will require a C-section.Very costly.

there are so many beagles in shelters...your friend should spay this dog so she stops getting in heat, and just adopt beagle puppies!

yes this is very true and it could actually cause her to die as well as all the pups.
Your friend really should have the dog fixed
