Is lying a sin if someone says "how many cookies did you eat?" and you say "1" when you really ate 2, would you go to hell for lying about that?

It is a lie..................Galatians 4 - 4 & 5 say that we are born under the law.................so any infraction makes us guilty.

We all need a Savior and we've all done more serious things than lie about cookies.

If we don't have our sins forgiven, then we will be judged by the law when we die - and any sin will separate you from God.

Jesus provided the sacrifice for our sins and guarantees a pardon to all who receive and repent.

Lying is a sin................

There are no boundaries when it comes to sin. There are no little lies or big lies. A lie is a lie! By the way, you can repent if you are truly sorry for your little lie.

That's a little kid thing. of course not!

Lying is so much more than that!
And besides....if you KEEP that up....lying all your life....OF COURSE it's a sin.

One tiny fib from a child doesn't do anything.

To lie is a sin...but you can repent from that sin and all other sin by accepting Jesus into your heart...
