I have a male kitty, probably barely a year old. Found it as a stray a few months back. It is generally an outdoor can that we bring in almost every night to play with and feed and whatnot. We take good care of him and he's always happy. Recently though we noticed his eyes are messed up. Both eyes are looking lazy compared to before, and when he looks at you, he doesnt look straight at you, one eye goes completely right and the other eye goes completely left. Like this: < > and it's really sad to look at. I really wish I knew why this is happening. Does anyone know? Has he been hurt by someone or something that maybe damaged his eyes and made them move out of place? I really don't know why they're so messed up, and I wish I knew what caused it. Any help is appreciated...

I've heard of that happening with dogs that get hit on the head, it jostles their eyes around in their head is the best way i can explain it... so i'm sure that can happen with cats, too. I'd talk to a vet about it, and let them know hat its an outdoor cat. And i wouldn't completely assume that it was injured on purpose by a human, something may have just fallen on the cat's head accidentally, or it may have fallen from too short a distance to be able to right itself in time. Or, yeah, it may have been a person. Who knows...
But having a lazy eye (or two) like that could also indicate a problem in the cat's brain, so i would definitely have it checked out.

Sorry to hear of ur cat`s eye problem. Since this is a recent development, it could be an injury to his head. I`ve seen cats with eyes crossing inward, but not the other direction. The only answer to ur question would be to take him to a vet. An animal ophthalmologist would be even better, but they r very expensive. The least ur vet could do is Xray his skull to see if indeed there is an injury. Good luck.

I'm not completely sure whats going on with your cat, but when you say your cat eyes are drooping and not straight on...it makes me think of a neurological problem....i would definitely take your kitty to the vets and maybe even a neurologist. I guess it could be as simple as an eye infection or corneal lesions....but you need to take him to the vet, they are the real professionals, they didn't go to school for 8-9 years for nothing! Well good luck!

This is not a question to ask and get general answers. It is possible he has a head injury and ifso he needs to se a Vet immediately. Depending on if he has a head trauma he could die. He may be suffering and you aren't aware. The humane thing to do is have him checked out.

They can look like that when the 3rd eyelid gland is raised in the inside corners. It can be a sign of illness or infection. The vet needs to check him out.
