Yes that is absolutely fine. My shep mix and my siamese cat were brought up together, both were the same age and used to play bite all time. It was really funny when my shephard got big as they continuted to play with each other. He would put his entire mouth over the cat's head and they would chase and bite at each other all the time.
They are just playing! If the cat has had enough she will let him know! And if she has never used her claws then you can saftely say it's all just play!!

Suee if they are playing. Just make sure the cat doesn't swat the opup with it's claws. That will mean a trip to the vets. Cats claws are a hot bed of bacteria, your pup can get an infection very easy. But if they are just playing then just watch them.

Yeah, they are playing. After my cat gets over the initial shock of a new puppy, which took over a week, now they are pretty much inseperable. Just remember the cat can get away and run if it is getting hurt. Alot of times, my cat is the one doing the hurting though. They are stronger than people think

Absolutely, sounds like they are having fun. Keep an eye on them. If they do start to hurt each other or the cat hisses fiercely, etc, then you know that they need to be separated.

Sure, they will do this in play mode. They may even start "wrestling" each other.
It's fine.
