My neighbour lets his german shephard out early morning and late evening off lead. This has been happening for six or seven months. I have spoken to him on several occassions. Waste of time. This is a daily event. I am a dog lover, have a rottweiller, I pick up her poo.

I think it's illegal for anyone to put anything in a mailbox except for a mailman and the owner of the mailbox. But don't let that stop you from spreading it all over the outside of the mailbox.

Because either they do not know where to throw poo away in the bag or do not want to walk all the way home with bag of poo. Or just plain laziness. Now, a dog walker myself as full time job, sometimes apartments do not have throw away zones and I've had a hard time wondering where to toss it. And to that, owners don't want poo thrown away in the trash can in their apartment leaving the stench. So, to that, I still pick up as is ,place in bag and search for a dumpster or outside trash can some where and toss it in there. t I'm a dog owner myself and pick up even if that means walking all the way home to throw it away in dumpster. What they are not realizing it is leaving poo behind like that if dogs are not updated on their shots or healthy for that matter, dogs will walk by stick their noses in it, risking the chance to pick up worms or other infectious diseases from the poos and give it to their self.

localy there was an add campain that put flyers in the mailboxes , The postal inspectors filed federal charges against the add company. long story short if they put postage stamps on the flyers it would be ok.

put the poo in the owners yard or on the front porch , maybe he will get the idea.
you could box it up and mail it to him. address unknown ; on second thought that may get the homeland insecurity after you.

Short answer is yes. Access to a mailbox legally is bestowed upon the postal worker.
You can get someone fired, or suspended or sued.

I think you'd only get your mail masn really mad at you. As far as the owner of the offending dog just clean it up and speak to your neighbor.

It is a Federal crime to mess with the mail box, and probably a misdemeanor or criminal mischief to intentionally spread biohazardous waste.

Sounds a little "s----y". But it would be illegal since it is a federal crime to open someone else's mail box.

I wouldn't recommend that, but a steaming shovel full taken to their house would be nice. Don't just leave it there, be sure to ring the doorbell and explain that they left this in your yard and you're returning it..

lol. Yes, I think it's illegal for anyone to put anything in a mail box unless it's a mail carrier delivering USPS mail.

Though you could put it in a package and mail it to them (I think).
