my throat hurts its hard to swallow the cracks in my tonsils are pretty much all filled with white stuff a couple days ago i had a fever but thats done should i worry the doc or tough it out?

open your mouth while looking in a mirror if you can see more than 50% of your tonsils then yea they swollen

It is strep throat. You need an antibiotic prescription because it can get really bad. I used to have it all the time. Then I got my tonsils out in my 20's. You will need 2-3 days rest plus an prescription before you get back on your feet again. When you go to the doctor, they will swab the back of your throat and verify that this is indeed strep.

You definitely have tonsillitis. The white stuff is infection. Go to the doctor!

yes and yes cuz it take a looong time to get over an infection without antibiotics. I didn't go to the doc right away and my tonsils got so swollen i talked like stitch for like two days.

Sounds like it, you should see a doctor as soon as possible! It can be serious you know if they swell too much, even burst.
I had my tonsils removed at the age of 4.

If you have been sick longer than a week or continue to get sick almost every week, Then it is time to go to the doctor.
The tonsils perform a function for the immune system - disposal of nasties. It's only natural that they swell up some.

you have strep throat. in case you ever have white spots on your tonsils, you may get a custom on the surgeon's. I certainly have a sore throat good now and have been given a custom on the instant, yet no strep or flu (thank gawd!) i comprehend, the cultures are annoying and in all probability make you gag, despite the fact that it is your ultimate wager. Oh, crap, I do have strep. My custom got here lower back from the lab. :(

Hi;Sorry but you better go see the DR.It sound like you got tonselites.Thay will most likely have to be removed.Its not bad to have it done.Plus you will feel a lot better.Good luck.....JW
