It's hard to do that.
I used to bounce at a bar and it was very very difficult and eventually I had to let that go.

Sure because being a Christian has do do with a heart change. They may not be very mature at this point. When I was a young Christian I use to go to the bars. Then I realized that this was not what I wanted out of my life. I grew up not only as a Christian but as an adult.

If people isolate their lives and chose not to work in a bar because it is 'wrong' then their faith, beliefs and self standards are low. It is like saying should a Christians go on vacation to NYC because of all the hookers and other things. What makes a person, stays with the person. What guides your heart and you allow in your heart to control decisions..no matter what job or place you go to.

Of course! A juice bar :) No seriously it's what is in your heart not where you work that GOD cares about. Pouring drinks is not the best job for a christian to have but it can't prevent you from being one unless you let it.

Yes. I have known good, sincere Christian people who own a liquour store or who work at a bar. A Christian bar tender would probably do a lot more good in some ways than many preachers:p

Yes.

Whether it's a good idea is another question entirely. I would think that for a conscientious Christian, participating in people's drunkenness would present a bit of a moral dilemma.

“A man and his pet giraffe walk into a bar... “

A man and his pet giraffe walk into a bar and start having a few quiet drinks. As the night goes on, they get pretty drunk. The giraffe finally passes out near the pool tables and the man decides to go home.

As the man is leaving, he's approached by the barman who says, "Hey, you're not gonna leave that lyin' here, are ya?"

"Hmph," says the man, "that's not a lion, it's a giraffe."

same as take your bible and some ones to a strip club and witness to the strippers

it only works to convince members of a cult

the rest laugh and leave you

the hypocrisy is rampant

you can drive a car, which kills thousands a year and serve alcohol, which if abused does same

you can also choke on air thanks to Clean Air Act enacted by Bush which makes it poisonous for many, esp. in Texas

so pick your poison but leave religion out of it

If not, that whole "the Founders of the United States were Christians" story is out.

John Adams.

*aham* (Also, Jefferson made his own beer and Washington apparently served rum to all his guests!)

A person can be a Christian and do anything - it doesn't mean it would be pleasing to God or in His will for their life.
