Depends on the boy. My 15-year-old is in bed at 11, lights out at midnight (he may read for an hour) in the summer. During school, I tried to let him stay up later than his younger brother. However, he leaves for school earlier than the younger brother, and he requires more sleep (like most teenagers he averages 10-12 hours a night), so for school nights, he's in bed by 9:30 and lights out by 10. He's allowed up later on the weekends. If he's up any later than 10 on a school night he can't get up in the morning and spends the day in a fog.

Kids his age need between 8 to 10 hours of sleep. Just look at him on the weekend. See how long he sleeps from Friday night to Saturday morning. That is a good idea of what he needs everyday. So, being he is in school and needs no less than 8 hours, 10pm at the latest.

I would say 10 is a good bed time. I mean he needs sleep and about 8 hours of it. 9 is to early and well 11 that may not be long enough by the time he gets in bed and actually falls asleep.

As soon as you have finish your homework. Since you need to wake up early in the morning to go to school. Young people should have sufficient sleep. On weekends and holidays you can stay a little late since there isn't any classes the next day and you can wake up late, provided you parents don't need you to do household works.

I could say sometime before midnight and sometime after ten. At this point it's kind of rediculous to have a bed time because if they don't want to go to bed they know ways to get around it. And if they're tired in the morning thats their own fault and they'll have to deal with it. If you leave them to themselves they'll find the bedtime thats right for them.
