Offer to mowe the lawn at as many houses as you can.
Or go to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, they exist in almost every Catholic church. Go to the nearest one to your home; if they feel you qualify, they will help you.

I'm not sure but I would think that Indy has a day labor place where you can go in each day and get a job for that day. You also get paid on that day. I do know that Ft. Wayne has one called Ready Labor. Check the phone book and see if you can find it. Also, some people hire on at construction sites to clean up and be a gofer. Quick money there. Have you tried a community action place or the treasurer of your township you live in. I live north of Ft. Wayne, and those people do help others in need up here. Hopefully, Indy works the same way.
