I've never heard one try to talk. Since you direct your question to Atheists, I suppose the platypus is supposed to tell us something religious. Perhaps recite the ten commandments, or sing Ave Maria.
Nope ,the ones that I ever saw in zoos never told me a single thing.

I have been talking to it for days now and it has not uttered one single word that makes any sense whatever. I think it is a christian platypus.
