Christianity was a part of my family stemming as far back as my great grandparents. My mother was a very devoted Christian. She modeled Christ in a loving and in a very consistent manner. Thank God for Christian caring mother's. My father wasn't half as bad.

My mom was my influence because my dad wasn't saved until was a teenager then they both had a great deal of influence in my life. I am so glad they loved me enough to show me that living for God is the only way.

The Roman Catholic Church influenced me against God for years, until later in life I came to know Christ as my Savior.

I'm not 'against' God, but i suppose my own parents, and many of my teachers, presented role models of perfectly ethical people who had no religious constraints. I suppose my lack of a believe in God stems from those people, although i wouldn't descibe it as being 'against' God in any meaningful way.

I'm not against god. I had plenty of positive experiences with a variety of religions, but I just couldn't make the leap into belief.
I know I've had very negative experiences with close-minded people in the name of religion, however.

The subject of God NEVER came up in my family or community before I was Born Again. It was just something no one talked about...sadly.
The only place I found infulence for God was in the bible, at the time.

Growing up no one taught me to be for or against God. I heard of Him, people around me spoke of Him and Jesus. Through strangers whispers, God's words touched my heart and I have lived ever since with Him in my heart and life.

My mother very strongly influenced me for God. She was devoutly religious, and there wasn't a single moment of my early upbringing that didn't have intense religious overtones.

No one. God didn't really enter the picture for me either way until I was 16.
