I am getting into photography and I really like the looks of the Canon A560, it's VERY affordable (I can get it for $140 from a large retailer) and it looks like it sports a variety of features including face recognition, and several scene modes. The question I have though, is whether or not you can manually control the Aperture and Shutter Speed Settings. I can't seem to find any site that gives that information. Also I would like to hear from owners of this camera how it performs under a variety of conditions, such as low light, bright light. How is the macro setting? Does it do well with moving subjects? Thanks for your time and I appreciate your answers. :)

Shalom

Go to shutterbug.com and do a Search for this camera. If they've reviewed it you should find the answers to your questions.

I also strongly suggest you consider buying from a local camera store. The employees are knowledgeable and there to answer your questions. Please do not take up their time asking about this camera and then buy from the discount house. You might pay a little more but you'll at least have someone knowledgeable to answer your questions.

Try getting answers from a "large retailer" - once you get through their automated phone system. Ask one of their clerks a question and you'll likely get a blank stare.

People often bemoan the death of local retailers like camera stores and then merrily go off to one of the big box discount chains - only to complain later about poor service.
