He did get a bit starry eyed. I didn't wonder if it had any meaning until after we'd parted ways. Now I'm wondering. Don't know how long he's been separated/divorced.

If his ex-wife was an ugly horror, then NO that is not good that you look like her, but most likely she was really pretty and you are too so take it as a compliment and smile.

for me, this is not good because he is painting the mental image to me he is still hung up over his ex- wife, if he and the wife is no longer together, what makes him thinks U r interested in hearing about her,and, continuously at that. for me, this would be a "red flag" I would not ignore,nor, tolerate from him. The truth of the matter is, "U r not his ex-wife and I would not allow him to play "the comparison game" with me. U r his present, not his past.

Men are terribly simple creatures. He just means that you look like his ex wife.
Now, if he starts getting all starry-eyed when he says it, you might want to dig a little deeper.

Well is he over his ex-wife? That is what you need to ask yourself. How does he talk about his ex-wife?
It don't sound too bad. If he married his ex-wife it sounds like he might have an attraction. Depending on how he talks about her.
Make sure he is over her. You could possibly be a rebound.

I think he still missed his ex wife. If you are involved in arelatioship with him, you have to make this clear to him, please let him know that his ex wife and you are two different person. I believe there is no point for him to treat you as a reserve to his ex wife. otherwise it would be unfair to you in this relationship

Avoid this plonker like the plague - if a man told me i reminded him of his ex-wife i'd punch him - hard!
Sounds like he might be looking for a replacement ex - you deserve not to be that.... find someone that appreciates you for NOT looking like his ex...!!
