rubbing my nose around him. He talked fast and furious for about 20 mins., but I barely heard a word. I was too nervous around him to think. I know him in a professional capacity -- I'm his client of sorts. It would be unethical to pursue, I know. But I'd at least like to know if he's interested in me even if it goes nowhere. How can I tell?

How old are you? Really, you most of lived a somewhat shelter exsistence? OF course my assumption there, on to the professionalism. Eye contanct is a good indication, you'll notice two possible flavors if there interested, constant contanct (which is hard for someone to do and if there pushing to look you in the eyes, theres a reason) the other is the inablitilty to keep eye contant, good indication there. Also if he goes out of his way to give you a comment, to correct you on bad mouthing yourself, or if he invites you to something outside the work environment. But really and why I said what I said at first, is WHY DO YOU CARE TO KNOW WHY HE WOULD? Doesn't make sense to me unless your a tad bit, suprise that he does in any way, and you blown away by that possibility.... seems someone is learning to like themselves a little more;-)

Notice his body language..the way he stares at you. His eye contact...does he flirt?
Ask yourself these questions. When you walk by him...turn your head back to see if he is looking at you.
Maybe if you show signs that you like him...he will let loose..and give you more clues to potentially liking you.
Keep his gaze more...smile flirtatious at him. Get more dressed up. Be more confident guys love women w/ confidence!

If you know it can't go anywhere stop beating yourself up about it and just let go. If he was intrested and willing to start something he would have let you know by now. Guys that are that intrested won't let you go away!
