Like what??? What were you expecting .... Boy Scout Camp!!!??? Have you never viewed a military movie? Did you think those DI's were a joke? Where do you think they patterned the role from? When you get to Iraq, you'll be glad that the DI tried to teach you all that" STUPID STUFF"... that stupid stuff may keep you alive if you have the intelligence to use any of it! Next time you think you want to join something, make sure that you know about all the stupid stuff you are expected to do before you sign on the dotted line. Two weeks .... Great!!! Where's that recruiter?!? I'll kill him myself ... he recruiter someone like you to defend me!!! I can do a better job myself and I'm disabled!!
Wimp!! This is not a video game! It's real life ... in a world where most of the other inhabitants hate us.Grow up and fulfill your obligation ... you signed the papers... or did the recruiter do that too? Guess you are one of those little crybabies who never finish any thing that they start... Just cry and go home!

I can't believe anyone would think being in the army would be fun. Don't you watch the news? I think you must have been very sheltered. I don't think any of the armed forces should take anyone who doesn't want to do it...for the right reasons. I know you're too young to remember this..but there used to be something called the "draft". You didn't have a choice. When your number came up...you had to go...unless you volunteered for one of the others..Air Force, Marine, Navy. When you were drafted you only had to go for 2 years. When you volunteered, you had to stay for 4 years. At least you had a choice.Hopefully , you'll find something you like about it eventually. Things change...you might turn out to make a career out of it. Give it a fair chance. Good Luck . God be with you ! Stay safe.

As long as you continue to think it's stupid, the longer you'll suffer. It's not stupid, everything is done for a reason and if you're not bright enough to realize that you better start trying to learn because it's only going to get better if you want it to.

If you're stuck with a whole lot of nothing to do, then find something to do. I understand how it's like that, but try and learn new things. I'm a Motor T mech and that got old and monotonous quick, so I just started hanging out in the armory and wow, new things to learn.

Because you signed a contract and Uncle Sam doesn't let you out of things that easy. But come on, you're not kidding anyone. You knew that, so don't go using the old, "the recruiter lied to me" line.

actually.... you can. lol It'll take longer than 2 weeks of course.. a couple months. Talk to your chain, and the chaplain and stuff. My friend just got out of ait at the same time as me... and she wanted out really bad, so she started fighting for it and did it... she wasnt even in the army a year and got out on a failure to adapt. Just dont do anything stupid like go AWOL... cause all that will do is **** you up in the long run. How long you have left?! Cause if it's only a couple years.. i'd wait it out and reap the benifits. Cause if you get out early.. you lose a lot of stuff.. like your Montgomery GI bill if you have one. And if you got a bonus you might have to pay it back.

My guess is you do not like the part that is discipline, and learning to do things right, when they need to be done without question in order to save your life. Another reason to bring back the draft in order that people, young people like you get an idea of what the world is really like. Quit being a spoiled kid and suck it up and become a man. If you make it through it you will see things from a different prospective. guaranteed.

Because you enlisted. I'm sorry you are unhappy, but suck it up, do the job, and get out rather than reenlist. I always hated whiners like you when I was in the Corps. I knew plenty of guys who didn't want to stay in one second longer than their contract, and bailed as soon as they could, but they didn't b**** and whine. You are a stupid child, and you need to get over it.

There is no way ths guy is in the military. Read his other questions and answers. He's like a 13 year old pretending to be a military member.

You are lying. You are not in the army. You never talked to a recruiter, but you are right, cuz I don't care.
