Some do it just because they like it, and some do it if they're having stomach issues... as long as the dogs don't vomit after eating the grass than it's perfectly fine. :-)

Sometimes dogs eat grass when their stomachs are upset, or sometimes simply because they like it.
I would be wary of a spot that multiple dogs are eating grass at. You never know if there is a pesticide that tastes good to them, or if someone is putting something else on the grass. I would limit the grass eating to a small nibble here and there and keep an eye out on your dog's health.
At any signs of vomiting or shakes you should stop your dog from eating the grass, and take them to the vet.

Dogs usually like to eat grass because it makes them vomit, easing any stomach indigestion. If both dogs are really in love with eating the grass outside your townhouse, however, it may be because there is some fertilizer on the grass. Dogs can find the smell of fertilizer really attractive, but watch out because they may be other things used to feed and maintain that grass that are poisonous to dogs. If I were you I'd try to keep them from eating the grass, just in case.

It could be normal, some dogs just plain old like grass. It could be stress. It could be an upset stomach (change in environment, smells, water, food if you changed that). Grass helps digestion, but sometimes it makes the dog throw up so keep your eye on her.

Dogs need vegetables to digest meat. In the wild they would kill an animal, and that animals stomach would contain grains, and grasses that would help them digest the meat of that animal. Your dogs are both lacking in their diets and they are trying to make up for that need by eating grass. Put them on a homemade food diet, go on amazon and get the book Woofing It down, it explains it all.

Dogs like the flavor of grass. If it has not pesticides, the grass is healthy for them and will aid digestion.
If you watch, they probably prefer a specific type of grass, and ignore the other types.
My dog has similar preferences...

No, its not tasty to them.
Most of the time dogs eat grass because their stomach hurts, and the grass helps them puke up what is hurting their stomach. Other times dogs will eat grass just because they know they need that fiber.

It helps with digestion, and if they get sick, or if they have a tummy ache, they will eat grass. There is some pet grass for sale at pet stores for dogs who like to eat it just because, and you may want to buy some if your yard has pesticides, because they can kill your dog.

most often it is because they have upset stomachs and they will usually vomit after eating the grass. Then feel better. Sounds at bit strange to us but it works for them
