I. Jn 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. " IMO --- Amen.
II. Young ppl worshiping parents ... ah, the 4th comand is the "Honor" not worship. Catholics teach this is a two way street; meaning that childreen have responsabilities & parents have responsabilities. Also, this commandment extends out into political, social, and community laws. The authority is deemed as the parents and the citizens are deemed as the childreen.

I AM CATHOLIC:
I don't know who told you that people "worship" their parents. This just isn't true. God alone is worthy of worship. If some people are telling you it is in the scriptures, they are twisting the meaning of the scripture.
Take my advice if u want a reason to become Catholic. Get the book "Catholic Apologetics and Catholic Doctrine" by Archbishop Michael Sheehan. Alternatively (and less informatively) look up Catholic Apologetics websites on the internet. They will explain everything.
Hope this helps.

Even Catholics recognize what Jesus did for all of us on the cross. And it is ONLY thru Jesus Christ that we can go to heaven. Catholics for unspoken reasons seem to lift up Mary right with Jesus. Mary was highly favored, yes, because God needed a vessel to bring His Son into this world, but just a reminder it was ONLY Jesus who shed His blood.

if anyone lacks wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men. James 1:5 . I see alot of questions about the Bible on here and alot of people listen to pastors preach. But really your relationship is suppose to be with God. So ask of Him and him alone. Asking of man is Idolitory. That's why Jesus said they were going to heap teachers to themselves. The Bible says not to lean on your own understanding. So why would you lean on another's understanding? Ask of God.
