We use the litter for the cat boxes (helps ALOT) w/ the smell. But my dog loves to go hunting for kitty brownies when ever he thinks i'm not looking. What worries me is that he also likes to sneak and eat the paper litter. I'm just scared that the litter is geting stuck in him and may hurt him if it builds up. Should I be worried?

Yes, and then you should probably do something about it. Put your cat's litter boxes where your dog cannot reach them.

our dog had a problem with this around the time our cat reached maturity...our trainer says the problem is that our dog doesn't like having our cat in her territory and our dog was reacting by trying to get rid of all of our cat's belongings like his litter and poo; since dogs don't have hands like humans do, she got rid of it the only way she could: by eating it...our vet, however, disagreed with this and said that cat poo has certain nutrients that our dog's food was lacking...from what I understand, it really is a normal dog behavior-regardless of what caused the problem, we couldn't let our dog continue to do this (same reasons as you) however, we weren't sure how to train our dog not to do this so we first moved the litter box on top of a table where the dog could not reach it but the cat could...eventually we moved the litter box under the table but we threw a large table cloth over the table so you could not see it but the cat could still get at it; I don't know if the dog just doesn't realize where the litter box is or if she doesn't care anymore but she has yet to bother it since we moved it
good luck, I know it can be frustrating

If he eats enough of it it could cause an intestinal blockage, as it absorbs moisture and wads up like newspaper. I'd block off the litter boxes from him.

Well, I don't think dogs or any animal should eat litter. If you dont know about it, try to see if the bag or container has any warnings.
