Because; "Religion seperates and segregates; and spirituality is tolerant, enlightens, and unites."

Most here are religious...(belong to a gang/have a turf to protect) even you atheist.. you have a little gang going there... just leave each other alone. Time will make the whole world spiritual and destroy all signs of religion, which are obsolete. So don't worry. ;)

Peace

P.S. - The world is not flat anymore..., sorry. hehehe

People don't live in peace because they are constantly finding ways to categorize each other. I am this, you are that... It all comes from a deeper place. In reality none of this bashing has to do with religion at all. It has to do with anger, anger that seems to need an outlet. It serves no one, and especially not the person carrying it. The anger comes from hurt. Somewhere along the line, those people who cannot manage to let others be who they are and believe or practice what they choose, have been hurt by someone. That hurt comes across as anger.
It is OK. We are all in the same boat. This bashing of each other is so negative. It hurts everyone.
Explore the hurt and the anger will disappear.

I'm neither Christian or Atheist. I have a friend who move to Canada after the 2004 election debacle. She says its totally different there, too.

I think many Americans are angry because they are running faster and working harder than ever... yet life just keeps getting tougher. More rules, less freedom. It's easy to blame that on others who look different, think different, etc. Or... just take out our frustrations on them.

About three days ago some troll, most likely a christian started an abuse report run on the atheists and accounts are being deleted left and right. I don't blame the atheists for being royally ticked off. The atheists are generally relaxed about reporting and prefer to tell people openly that they are being jerks. It is astounding the number of accounts that have either locked down or disappeared in the past few days.

Hey, I saw that comment about maple suckers. And I only wish we could figure out how to make whisky out of it.

The atheists are always raging at Christians on R&S,all day every day. It doesn't actually have any effect on Christianity, but it is awkward for people who try to stimulate intelligent exchanges of an interfaith character using R&S. Most of the atheist postings are simply trolls by definition, but I gather the webmaster has no issue with that. It is at times a disgusting spectacle. Most of the atheists claim to be rocket scientists or whatever but it's painfully obviously they are actually very blue-collar since the only variety of Christianity they are familiar with is the traditionally blue-collar variant, namely fundamentalism. They do a lot of name-calling,etc. As you have noted.

I love Canada and you Canadians are very sweet. Sorry you feel badly about today's postings. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day for you. This section gets heated at times because of differing views. I think it's healthy to have strong opinions.

Who is angry??
Not me.
I know what you mean though, seems like some ppl are a bit stressed whenever someone else dares to have a different opinion.
LOL, the natural smart-aleck in me wanted to say something about fat black gay ministers but the new improved politically correct me wont let me say this. I used be so much more fun!!

God bless you crazy Canadians. And please don't misunderstand me. That is a term of endearment. If I thought I could get a job up there, I would move so fast, my shoes would fly off.

However, I don't think that I've been bashing anyone. I just answer the questions from my perspective, with the knowledge I have.

Hope your day is better.

Weight isn't really that important, and in America, we took shots at color about 50 years ago.
