I v got a qwestion is there a program that recognise characters??
I scaned a document to myn computer and i dont want to wright it over is there a program that can do that????

No, but you can look into the speakers that recognize words and spell them for you. Thats kkinda close.

Yep. You need to purchase a scanner that has OCR (optical character recognition). This will allow you to scan text and save it as a text document.
Check out your scanners manual to see if it has OCR, and if so how it works.

If you have Microsoft One Note you can do this (it comes with Vista).
"Text recognition in pictures OneNote can recognize text contained in images that you inserted in your notes. When you search your notebook for names of people and places, OneNote displays images that contain the text (for example, a scanned business card) in the search results list. "

Paste the image into One Note, then right click over it and select "copy text from picture." Then you can paste the text only into another document.

kid, your scanner must have OCR software, or go to scanner manufacturer web site and download a software.
