I imagine so. Try to buy more expensive ones, the better ones have less alcohol. Alcohol dries hair out. Make sure to deep condition 1-2x a week.

No hairspray does not damage ur hair! Don't listen to any of these fools. As long as you take care of ur hair ur fine. Wash it atleast 1-2x a month. But dont over do it with the gel. Some types of gel can damage beckuz I experienced it. But try PRO-STYLE OR JAM for gel. Hairspray is good for your hair it makes it shiny. If it was dangerous I dont think they would allow for people to buy it and put it in their hair.

Yes it does. Hairspray has very harmful chemicals in it. And chemicals + hair = Damaged hair. Restrict yourself from using styling hair products, wax, hairspray, gel, etc. Because this just over whelms your hair with chemicals. Try using a homemade natural hairspray.

Boil some water with the juice of a lemon or orange. Put in a spray bottle. If it is too sticky, add more water.

I don't think it damages your hair just because it is in there. It is the sun, heat from curling/flat irons, and blow drying that does the most damage. I always use a 24/7 creme or heat protector if you are going to do such damage. But hairspray and gel, as long as you wash it out, you should be fine.

No I don't think so. Actually, my hair gets more damage if I don't put hairspay in it because I keep constantly adjusting it and tearing it eventually.

Just shampoo your hair with a detoxifying shampoo once a week. It will be fine. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner after you detox.
