Can anyone tell me teh riddle about 3 guys renting a room and them each getting $1 back on price of room?

The story goes that three guys wanty to rent a hotel room and are charged $10 each making $30 in total. When the bellhop gets to the cash desk the clerk tells him that the room is only $25 and gives him $5 to give back to the customers. On the way he sticks $2 in his pocket and gives the guys $1 each. Therefore they have paid $27 ($9 each) and the bellhop has $2. Where's the missing dollar?


This is a trick question since, in reality there is no missing dollar. The guys pay $27 of which the hotel gets $25 and the bellhop $2 so it's $25 plus $2 NOT $27 plus $2.
