Fundraising report question - how to list donors?

Question

When listing donors in an annual report, do you list them by amount given or by pledged amount. In other words, if someone gave $1,000 this year and pledged to do it for four more years, do you list them in the $1,000 or $5,000 category. Please list your organization or institution with the answer. Thanks!

I would list is as the amount given because since you have to do it annually, it will show up every year anyway.
